How To Set Goals That Matter (And That You Will Actually Stick To)

Well here we are, the last few weeks of 2017. This is usually the time of year people start pondering their new year’s resolutions; like how many times they are going to hit of the gym each week, save enough money to book that trip to Spain or making a smoothie every morning. Truth be told, I loooooove goal setting. Let’s call dreaming big one of my favorite hobbies. I love the focus it provides and the excitement is brings. But over the last few years I have been doing my new year’s goals a little different…

Instead of simply writing down all the things I want to achieve the following year I start by choosing my inspiration word. A word to describe how I want to feel and what my life will represent. How do you find your word? It can come in many different ways; last year mine came to me deliberately during a New Years Eve meditation, this year I was making breakfast listening to a goal setting podcast and it intuitively just came to me. You’ll know it when you have it and then can create beautiful goals that will perfectly align and support that word of inspiration.

My inspiration word for 2018… Connection. I want to feel connected to my work, to my family as well as my new home, city and the people within it (we will be moving this year). To the earth, to myself and my inner wisdom. And, I want to feel unbelievably connected to you; my tribe, my followers, the reason why I do what I do.

Book a FREE 30 Min Discovery Call with me to see how I can support and inspire you you fully with your 2018 health goals.

And of course I strongly encourage you to find your own inspiration word for 2018. Need some extra help? Try the book: The Desire Map by Danielle Laporte.
